“ This place has been my go to while on DC. We are in DC on business and so I have been meeting my wife here for lunch for the last few days. The location is very convenient for us and works for our time window. First off the food is absolutely amazing. Today we shared the Mushroom and Swiss burger with a side of their clam chowder. We got our burger medium rare. It was perfect! Super juicy and tasty. An absolute perfect burger. The clam chowder was rich and creamy and well seasoned. Soooo Gooood. If you do visit this awesome restaurant, I recommend sitting at the bar. If your fortunate enough to have Quan as your bartender, rest assured your in good hands! This gentleman is awesome! He’s very knowledgeable about the menu, drinks, and has great recommendations of what to check out in DC. He is an incredible bartender and I hope The Capital Burger recognizes that! ”
“ Visited solo for lunch and got the Old Fashioned and the Capital Burger. The Old Fashioned was a real bad boy, and the bacon attached to it was a delight. I’d say the burger is one of the finest I’ve ever tasted in the US, bested only by Minetta Tavern, 5 Napkin Burger and Au Cheval. It was cooked to perfection and had just about the right amount of salt. Fries were pretty good as well. If you’re in the area, definitely go for it! Shout out to the bartendress who provided quick and kind service. ”

“ I was at a conference next door and my coworkers and I stopped in here for lunch. All three of us got a burger and everyone enjoyed it. I got the French onion burger and it was delicious. However, it was the appetizer that stole the show. The shishito peppers were absolutely to die for. They were amazing- I could have eaten so many more. We had the pretzel with cheese and it was tasty too. I will caution about the homemade pickles- I love how they bring those out but they are sweet pickles so beware if that’s not your thing. If you stop in here for a meal, be sure to try the shishito peppers! You won’t be disappointed ”

For the burger I didn’t need any additional sauce because the taste was great by itself. There was a very good crouton / Cesar salad along with it. I sat at the bar and had excellent service from the bartenders. Ordered a bacon cheeseburger and a beer both of which were delivered quickly. The burger was by far one of the best burgers I have ever eaten. Perfectly seasoned and cooked exactly to med-rare temp! The bacon was thick cut and delicious. You also get a complimentary jar of bread and butter pickles with your order and they were delicious. ”
